SuperGrans SuperSkills (SGSS) is a unique community organisation that connects generations through practical mentoring. With 12 agencies across Aotearoa, they share essential life skills from cooking and budgeting to growing your own food and home maintenance – all completely free. Their existing digital presence needed to better reflect the warmth and accessibility that defines their kaitiaki mentoring approach, while making it easier for communities to connect with their local SuperGrans agency.

The Challenge

SGSS required a website that couldeffectively communicate their grassroots community focus while serving thediverse needs of 12 different agencies nationwide. The challenge was creating aunified digital experience that showcased both their national presence andlocal community connections, making their valuable free services easilydiscoverable by those who need them most.

Our Approach

We focused on creating a user-friendlyplatform that mirrors the welcoming, no-barriers approach of SuperGrans mentorsthemselves. The redesigned site prioritises clear navigation to local serviceswhile highlighting the practical, real-world benefits of their programs.

The new design emphasises accessibility andcommunity connection, ensuring that whether someone is looking for financialmentoring, cooking skills, or sustainable living guidance, they can quicklyfind their local SuperGrans SuperSkills agency and understand exactly how thesefree services can benefit them.

The Result

The refreshed sgss.org.nz website now effectively showcases SuperGrans SuperSkills as the valuable community resource they are – connecting people with mentors who share practical knowledge that makes household budgets stretch further and helps communities grow stronger together.

Through improved user experience and clearer messaging around their free services, the website now better serves both the agencies delivering programs and the community members who can benefit from this unique generational knowledge sharing.
